The Team at Maurice’s Pools and Spas consists of a highly talented and dedicated team of people who are skilled at addressing customers needs. The business comprises a service department, sales and customer service, accounts and administration. Being a small team it is not uncommon to see our service team assisting in store as well and our sales staff crossing over.

This year Maurice celebrated 26 years as the owner of Maurice’s Pools & Spas  and still prefers trading his office desk for being out on the tools attending to customers needs or working besides his technicians.

With over 35 years experience in the pool and spa business his knowledge is unsurpassable in the Waikato region.

Maurice is community minded, sponsoring local schools, and for the past 8 years has sponsored the Waikato Heart Stopper Challenge that raises funds for families with children in need of heart surgery and has also supported several other one-off events over the years.

On the rare occasions when Maurice is not working he can be found on the badminton court enjoying being a part of Waikato Masters & Vets Teams.

What goes on behind-the-scenes


The admin team is primarily responsible for billing and keeping the company’s accounts up to date, and can help with any invoicing or account enquiries.


The sales team will be your normal first point of contact when you come into one of our stores or contact us by phone, email or via this website. They are a friendly and helpful bunch of people, who are knowledgeable on all aspects of pools, spas and chemicals. They receive regular training to ensure their knowledge is up to date. By asking relevant questions they will be able to quickly determine your needs and help solve your problem.


The servicing team carry out four distinct sets of operations: regular valet servicing of customers’ pools and spas, repairing faults, leaks and broken equipment, installing replacement and new equipment, and delivering and setting up new spa pools. The service technicians are fully trained and experienced, and can deal with all makes of pools, spas and associated equipment. The team is lead by Maurice himself who likes to be out and about around the Waikato.

This is a Full Time position, duties include:

  • Valet cleaning of swimming pools and spas
  • Water testing and remedial work
  • Fault finding and repair work
  • Quoting and installing new equipment
  • Varied with opportunity to develop a range of new skills
  • Being part of a small team across two stores.
